Historians of South Ural State University have examined the features of Chinese migration to Russia over the past three decades. Based on the collected data, they identified the primary vectors of "Chinese" migration, identified the factors of changing the prevailing migrant groups and areas of their employment, and considered the reaction of the host society to the presence of migrants. The results of the study were published in the journal SOCIS (Q2).

South Ural State University, taking the 44-45th place, became the best among the universities of the Ural region and the second among the universities of the Ural Federal District. From June 28th through July 11th 2021, future translators completed their work experience training at the SUSU Academic Writing Office.
Over two weeks, second-year students of the Linguistics major trained their translation skills. Polina Kachaeva, Anastasia Ovsyankina, and Georgiy Nikonorov completed English-Russian translations. The students were asked to translate author’s guidelines from international research journals Sustainability, Nexus Network Journal, and Current Sociology.
The MasterCAD-2021 Contest has been organized at the initiative of the Department of Informatics and Information Technologies of the Ryazan Institute (Branch) of the Moscow Polytechnic University within the frameworks of career guidance work with students. A certificate of appreciation and cash prize for the third place in the Low-rise Residential and Public Buildings category was awarded to the second-year student of SUSU Aleksandra Nikolaeva.
