Dmitry Petelin is an alumnus of the SUSU Faculty of Aerospace Engineering with a degree in Aircraft and Helicopter Engineering. He is now an active pilot-cosmonaut and Hero of Russia. “Heart of the Urals” Advanced Engineering School of Engine Building and Special Equipment has confirmed its high status after successful defence of its project within the frameworks of the “Advanced Engineering Schools” federal program. The program defence was held in Moscow on March 7th.
A big-scale mass event, to which school pupils and students from Chelyabinsk were invited, has been held for the first time over the two years of fruitful work of the "Heart of the Urals" Advanced Engineering School.

– Computer vision system, where guests, by putting virtual reality glasses on, could see a live 3D model developed by students as part of the engineering school projects;
The final of the Best Group Contest (known as KLG) was held at our university's Assembly Hall. It had taken several months to prepare for and complete the whole cycle consisting of six contest rounds.
The 2025 contest nominations included: Best First-year Group, Best Senior-year Group, Best Student Mentor, Best Course Leader, and Best Teaching Mentor.
