South Ural State University announces the start of Admissions Campaign 2025. On November 10th the first in this academic year Open House Day was held at our university for applicants and their parents.
In the hall on the 2nd floor of the main university building, guys were welcomed by representatives of the leading employers from Chelyabinsk, including PG KONAR, PAO Rosseti Ural, Chelyabinsk Pipe-Rolling Plant, PAO Mechel, and GK LD. They introduced their companies and shared on the advantages their employees will have.
Scientists of South Ural State University have created chips that are beneficial for health and do not harm it. These are made using “healthy” technologies and contain proteins and unsaturated fatty acids necessary for the human body. At the same time, the raw material for production is something that is obtained practically for free.

The project "Development and Creation of Production of Hydraulic Tracking Drives with Hydrostatic Guides" is being developed at SUSU within the frameworks of the activities of the World-class Ural Interregional Research and Education Centre for Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials (UIREC) and the Ural Engineering Centre (UEC) under the supervision of Professor of the Department of Automated Mechanical Engineering Technology, Doctor of Sciences (Engineering) Dmitry Ardashev.
Volunteers of our university help not only at mass events. Recently, concerned students visited one of the animal shelters in Chelyabinsk.
"Khochu Domoy" ("I Want to Go Home") is the largest shelter in our city, housing 400 adult dogs and cats. For 13 years, the staff have been rescuing puppies and adult dogs and cats from the slaughterhouse. Now, animals from the street also end up in the shelter since “Khochu Domoy” is one of the few that takes in homeless fluffy creatures that people bring there.
Every one of us understands the importance of such concepts as preserving traditions, respecting national cultures, and the unity of multinational people. The atmosphere of our large university family is based on cooperation, multicultural creativity, team spirit and creation. We are always ready to help each other and lend a strong friendly shoulder.
Professor of the Department of Technology and Organization of Public Catering of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service of South Ural State University Sobhy El-Sohaimy, jointly with his colleagues from Egypt, Yekaterinburg and Moscow, conducted a comprehensive study of natural preservatives: apple peel extract, sea buckthorn fruits, black currant leaves and grape pomace. The result was published in the major Russian journal Agrarian Science.
A big-scale event, the Science Days of the Chelyabinsk Region, continues at South Ural State University. On October 30th, as part of a panel discussion, an agreement on cooperation between the university and the NTC "Privodnaya Tekhnika" (Drive Technology Scientific and Technical Centre) was signed.
NTC "Privodnaya Tekhnika" is a production and engineering company specializing in the development and implementation of electric drive systems, as well as in the production of a wide range of electrical products.
On October 30th, a special program on designing and launching of new educational programmes by the SKOLKOVO School of Management started at South Ural State University.
This program helps university staff members reassemble the existing ones, or design and launch new educational programmes for training Bachelors, Specialists and Masters.

The Science Slam International Science-promoting Project was created in Germany in the mid-2000s. A non-academic contest in the form of short presentations by scientists in an informal setting has also taken root in Russia. The Science Slam has been organized in the Chelyabinsk Region for the first time, and South Ural State University has become the venue for it.
On October 29th, a panel discussion on the UIREC Development Strategy for 2025-2030 was held in the SUSU Council Assembly Hall as part of the Science Days in the Chelyabinsk Region event. The World-class Ural Interregional Research and Education Centre for Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials (UIREC) is participating in the Chelyabinsk Science Days for the third year in a row. This year, it presents stands demonstrating projects fulfilled jointly with SUSU.
Science Days started at South Ural State University on October 29th. During day one, a panel discussion on the topic of “The Present and the Future of the Scientific and Technological Development of the Chelyabinsk Region” was held.

On October 23rd, a master class by Nitesh Kumar Upadhyay, Doctor of Sciences (Law), Associate Professor at the Law Department of Symbiosis University (India), consultant at the SUSU Institute of Law, was held at South Ural State University.
Nitesh Kumar Upadhyay has numerous fellowships and grants including from such institutions as GAJE (Turkey), ILEC (New York), and HAGUE Academy (the Netherlands). His presentation was devoted to the topic of developing research competencies and career opportunities.
“The Big Urals” International Tourism Forum opened at the “Domna” Centre for Creative Industries in Yekaterinburg on October 18th. This event brought together experts and practitioners to discuss current issues of tourism development at the regional, national and international levels. Within the frameworks of the forum three panel discussions, strategic and discussion sessions, a master class, a talk show, a case session and a conference were organized.
On October 23rd, the 12th David Klyshko Memorial Seminar on Quantum Technologies opened at the Convention Hall of the Council of South Ural State University.

Head of the Department of Machines and Processes of Pressure Metal Working, Doctor of Sciences (Engineering), Professor Aleksandr Vydrin, as part of the “Development of Digital Twins of Cold Pressure Processing of Composite Materials” technical assignment for the Intelligent Manufacturing project, together with his team, developed a technology of improving the reliability of the welding process. The technology will help to significantly increase the productivity of the welding process in any conditions.
