A big-scale event, the Science Days of the Chelyabinsk Region, continues at South Ural State University. On October 30th, as part of a panel discussion, an agreement on cooperation between the university and the NTC "Privodnaya Tekhnika" (Drive Technology Scientific and Technical Centre) was signed.
NTC "Privodnaya Tekhnika" is a production and engineering company specializing in the development and implementation of electric drive systems, as well as in the production of a wide range of electrical products.
As part of the agreement, the parties arranged to open a laboratory at the premises of the World-class Interuniversity Campus.
"The main goal of our cooperation with SUSU is to develop students' relevant competencies that have been developed at the university for years. Our task as a company, most of whose employees are SUSU alumni, is to update the knowledge and skills we have acquired during our work in the market of electric drive technology converters. We plan to create a laboratory that will be the best in the country. This will give the university a boost in terms of attracting talented young people from all our regions, including from abroad," noted Evgeniy Chupin, Director for Strategic Development of "Privodnaya Tekhnika" group of companies.
The laboratory’s activities will be aimed at deepening students’ competencies and transferring the practical knowledge accumulated by the company to a new generation of young specialists.
"Students will have a good infrastructure, they will be able to implement their projects, work on professional equipment. Now, knowledge on the design and development of new types of electric motor control systems, as well as electric motors themselves, is very important and relevant. Just such a laboratory will appear on the campus," said SUSU Rector Alexander Wagner.
After signing the agreement, guests of the Science Days took part in a poster session, where scientists from South Ural State University presented their research.
