Staff members of the Sociocultural Adaptation Centre of the International Office organized a tour to the Taganay National Park and Lake Turgoyak for SUSU international students on July 9th.
The tour started with visiting one of the most beautiful places in the South Ural region: Taganay National Park. International students walked along the Journey through Europe and Asia eco-trail and climbed to the Semibratka observation deck, from where they could admire beautiful views of the mountains. The students enjoyed the walk since everyone managed to cope with the 4-km route.

How to measure temperature in a hard-to-reach place, and even in a dangerous environment - in a hot blast furnace or in a distillation column? For this purpose, a TEP device is used - a thermoelectric converter, or (in common parlance) a thermocouple. Two electrodes made of different materials are connected to the temperature measurement point, united at the end into a common junction, and at the opposite free ends of the thermoelectrodes the potential difference is measured, from which the temperature is ultimately calculated.

The U.S. News & World Report American journal has published its 10th issue of the Best Global Universities rankings.
The rankings participants include 2250 universities, with 27 Russian universities among them. South Ural State University has taken the lead among the best Russian universities.
Universities were assessed against 13 indicators, including publications, citations, conferences, international academic cooperation, and regional and global reputation in the field of research.
An international student construction brigade "Duna" ("Dune") was created at the construction site of El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant in Cairo. Among the participants of this labour project are 64 students from 15 regions of our country. They have set off for TITAN-2 Holding for the construction of El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant.
