New effective compounds, which can be endogenous donors of a signaling molecule - hydrogen sulfide in the body, were synthesized by SUSU scientists. Due to this property, the obtained compounds are potential drugs with a cancer-preventing effect. The research work was published in the Russian Chemical Bulletin (Q3).
Within the framework of the Year of Science and Technology, May is dedicated to the topic "Security. New Challenges and Threats". Security covers various aspects, including digital. Scientists at SUSU are developing algorithms to protect the power systems of enterprises from cyberattacks. The Russian Foundation for Basic Research supported this project. The research aims at identifying defeats in metallurgical production systems. Cyberattacks target not only personal computers, information departments but also industrial enterprises.
The National Academic Male-voice Choir of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering of South Ural State University became a winner of the 3rd prize in Kaluga. The young men competed against the best choirs of Russia at the 13th All-Russian Contest of Vocal Groups and Academic Male-voice Choirs for Boys, Young Men and Men "Singing Men Fraternity" in the Honour of the People's Artist of the Russian Federation Lev Sivukhin.
Students of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service of South Ural State University took pedagogical training at Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution General Secondary School No.45.
