New Textbook for Linguists Released by the SUSU Publishing Centre

At the end of February 2021, a textbook on the “Theory of English Grammar" was released by the Publishing Centre of South Ural State University. The author of the textbook is the Head of the Department of Linguistics and Translation Studies of the Institute of Linguistics and International Communications, Doctor of Sciences (Philology) Tamara Khomutova.

Collection of Applications for a Creative Contest to Design a Project for a Future Monument Dedicated to Medical Workers Continues

At the moment, sketch works from Kasli, Chelyabinsk and Saint Petersburg have been submitted for the contest.

The installation of a monument dedicated to medical workers in Chelyabinsk is an initiative of the Chelyabinsk Region Legislative Assembly. According to the idea, the monument should become a symbol of respect for the valorous work of medical workers in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. It will be located in the Andreevskiy park.

Final Stage of the Zvezda Multidisciplinary Engineering Olympiad Is Held at SUSU

Young Scientist Awarded an RFBR Grant for a Project on Creating New Composite Materials

A postgraduate student from South Ural State University has been awarded a grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. The young scientist is working in a project on the "Modelling of Phase Composition to Develop the Principles of Creating Gradient Materials with Various Functional Properties". The work's main objective is to determine the conditions in which it is possible to create new materials by combining several materials, for instance, metal and ceramics.
 

Russian scientists Find an Innovative Way to Use Nanofluids in Heat Exchangers

The power engineers from SUSU suggest improving the system of heat exchangers operation by using nanofluids and nano additives correctly. The scientists reviewed two types of nanofluids, represented by hydrofluoroethers, and made recommendations for colleagues. The research results were published in the highly-ranked journal Thermal Science and Engineering Progress (Q1).
 

The Central Bank of the Russian Federation Conducts a Public Opinion Poll

The Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Bank of Russia) conducts a public opinion poll, the main task of which is to determine the level of customer trust in the security of the electronic technologies and services being implemented.

Inadequate protection of certain instruments and technologies leads to financial losses and, in general, undermines the public's trust in the financial system of the Russian Federation. The Bank of Russia considers it a priority to assess the risks associated with the safety of using financial instruments.
