The International Scientific Council is founded in SUSU. It consists of the world's leading scientists, who have a vast research experience in fundamental and computer sciences, engineering and medicine.
A key objective of the International Scientific Council is to coordinate the research and educational activities of the University in accordance with the best international practices.
On July 8-18 the VI International Youth Industrial Forum "Engineers of the Future 2016" was held on the territory of the Udmurt Republic. The forum was organized by the Union of Machine Builders of Russia jointly with the Government of the Udmurt Republic with the support of the "Rostekh" state corporation. First Deputy Chairman of the Industry Committee, First Vice-President of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia Vladimir Gutenev participated in the forum.
On Tuesday, July 19th at South Ural State University and the Academy of Management under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, an international round table will be held called “Russia – Kyrgyzstan: the main stages of cooperation in the 20th and 21st century.”
Organizers of the round table are the Fund for Social and Economic Development - Eurasian Fellowship, South Ural State University, and the Academy of Management under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
It isn’t every day that we as a robot how to get to one place or another, or listen to an excursion from an “electronic person” who knows absolutely everything about places and objects.

On June 28th in the dissertation council for defense of doctors’ dissertations, D 212.295.01 at Chelyabinsk State Pedagogical University, Men Syanlin’s candidate dissertation defense went splendidly. The dissertation topic was “Forming future tourism managers’ readiness for innovative work”.
On June 2016 the dean of the international program for the Clark University, William Fisher, and assistant dean, Emi Gardner, visited South Ural State University on a friendly business meeting.
During the meeting, prospects for developing partnership and the possibility for broadening the areas for dual master’s programs between South Ural State University and Clark University were discussed.
The IX International Olympiad in Informational Technologies «IT-Planet» was held throughout the last academic year. Students, postgraduate students, and graduates of the SUSU Department of Informational System Security participated in fifteen competitions in the following categories: Linux administration; Java programming; Rules, services, and equipment; Data transfer technologies in local and global networks; RoboFabrika ScratchDuina; and more.
On Thursday, July 7th South Ural State University will host the fourth Machine Learning Community meeting.
The main objective of the event is to form connections between competent specialists and students, and to conduct themed lecture and practical lessons tied to in-depth study of artificial intelligence.
Topics of the meeting: “Artificial Neural Networks”. Participants will need to solve issues of machine learning based on real data using Python, Numpy, Panads, Scikit-learn, Xgboost, Theano, Lasagne, and different instruments.
On June 23rd at SUSU a pedagogical conference among workers of the university. At the conference, the pro-rector of strategic development, Andrey Keller, presented a new method for evaluating research work efficiency among the university’s teaching staff.
In the framework of implementation of the 5-100 Project the director of the SUSU Project Office Alexander Deev took part in the workshop “The Internationalization of Higher Education in the 21st Century: Experience of Universities in the USA”, which was held in Boston. Alexander Vladimirovich has got to know the work of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Boston University.

On June 20th, SUSU held the workshop ‘ABCs of Style, Grammar, and Structure of Research Publications’, organized by the SUSU Office of International Affairs and the Institute of International Education.

The scientific research conference for the European Journalism Training Association (EJTA) was completed in Tbilisi, where SUSU along with the leading schools of journalism from universities in England, Austria, Spain, Germany, and Ireland were accepted as institutional members of the EJTA.
A SUSU delegation led by the head of the SUSU office of international affairs Aleksandr Deev, will be participating in a seminar entitled “The Internationalization of Higher Education in the 21st Century: the Experience of Universities in the USA.” The seminar will be held at Boston College (Massachusetts, USA).
On June 6th – 8th, the 17th 5-100 Seminar and Conference was held at the Sechenov First Moscow State University of Medicine. More than 900 people from the 100 largest universities of Russia took part. SUSU was represented by a delegation headed by university rector, professor Aleksandr Shestakov.
SUSU achieved victory at the open, public contest for the presentation of government support of pilot projects for the foundation and development of engineering centers organized by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
