On June 8 of 2018, the 4th All-Russian Science-to-Practice Conference on Physical Rehabilitation in Sports, Medicine and Adaptive Physical Culture was held within the National Medical Innovation Forum in Saint Petersburg. This Conference traditionally brings together specialists in the sphere of physical education, sport, healthcare and social sphere, and creates a platform for exchange of experience and enhancement of specialists’ qualification.
SUSU, jointly with the leading universities of our country and from around the world will be training unique specialists under ERASMUS+ Project. Among the Russian participants of the project are: Astrakhan State University, South-Russian State Polytechnic University, Stavropol State Agrarian University, Volgograd State Technical University, and South Ural State University. On behalf of Iran the participants Sari Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University, and Babol Noshirvani University of Technology.

RAEX (Expert RA) Rating Agency compiled the seventh annual Russian Universities Ranking. South Ural State University improved by 4 positions as compared to the last year’s result.

Government of the Russian Federation decided to expand quota limit at Russian universities for applicants from Syrian Arab Republic up to 500 people in the academic year 2019-2020. In frameworks of cooperation with Rossotrudnichestvo, on May 23rd through 30th in Damask, Russian-Syrian commission carried out a campaign for selection of students who are to take part in recovery of Syria in the post-war period after finishing their education in Russia. The commission included representatives of Russia’s leading universities, one of which was South Ural State University.

In the course of several decades of its existence, South Ural State University provided training of thousands of talented specialists and brilliant scientists. In 2018, the university celebrates its 75th anniversary, and now it is represented by entire scientific dynasties, including the Ryabukhin dynasty.
A delegation from SUSU visited Geographical Institute Jovan Cvijić of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (Belgrade, Republic of Serbia). The goal of the visit was to discuss future joint research in the sphere of tourism, as well as its development in Russia and Serbia.

The Day of Ecologist is celebrated in Russia in the beginning of June. The professional holiday of volunteers and specialists in the sphere of nature protection has existed for 10 years already. It was established by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, dated July 21 of 2007, upon an initiative of the State Duma Committee for Ecology, on the World Environment Day.

Scientists thought up how to combine these likely incompatible properties in one and invented material of the future which is as good as its foreign analogues. And now the scientists are working on imparting it with new characteristics.
Within the framework of fulfilling the Philosophical Practice strategic scientific program the Department of Philosophy of the SUSU Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities prepared a Brief Dictionary-Presentation Language of Philosophical Practice, in Russian and in English.

Scientists of South Ural State University developed a new generation of protective materials with high strength. Work on this important project was supported by a grant by the President of the Russian Federation.
Anna Nechaevskaya, who became bronze medalist of the Winter Olympic Games–2018 in Pyeongchang, defended her dissertation dedicated to the study of physical education effect on development of troubled adolescents. The Olympic medalist completed her master’s degree studies at the SUSU Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service in the program of “Physical Education”. The athlete expressed her gratitude to the university for the support during her study.
