Student of the Institute of Law Wins in an International Conference

Student of the SUSU Institute of Law Mariia Chikulaeva has been awarded the first place among students in the articles contest of the World of Law International Science-to-practice Conference dedicated to the memory of Doctor of Sciences (Law), Professor B.B. Cherepakhin.

The event took place on October 4, 2024 and was organised within the framework of the Private Law without Borders Youth Civil Forum at V.F. Yakovlev Ural State Law University.

In her scientific work on the topic of "Private Law = Public Freedom", Mariia showed the interrelation between the protection of private rights by the state and the implementation of their public freedoms by citizens.

"The event was great. Each report was interesting in its own way, participants and organizers asked important questions. I felt confident and my work, since I wrote it on a relevant and important topic. Mostly students from Yekaterinburg presented their works in person, but I also met a postgraduate from Izhevsk. People from Irkutsk, Minsk and other cities presented their works online. I had only positive impressions, I was glad to come and speak in Yekaterinburg. Many thanks to the organizers for the opportunity to prove myself,” said Mariia.

The conference brought together a large audience of beginner and experienced young researchers from Russian and international educational institutions interested in a scientific platform for discussions. The scientific event was attended by young practicing scientists, postgraduates, Master's degree students and students, representing 12 Russian and international universities, such as the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus; Russian-Tajik Slavonic University; Russian-Armenian University; South Ural State University; Kutafin Moscow State Law University; HSE University; St. Petersburg Institute (Branch) of the All-Russian State University of Justice (RPA of the Ministry of Justice of Russia); Surgut State University; Volgograd Institute of Management of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration; Kaluga State University Named After K.E. Tsiolkovski; Udmurt State University; Perm State National Research University; Ural Branch of the Research Centre for Private Law named after S.S. Alekseev under the President of the Russian Federation; V.F. Yakovlev Ural State Law University.
