Love and Happiness: SUSU Welcomes Newlyweds

Our university supports family values among young people. One such example is a couple of graduates from the School of Economics and Management. We share their love story in this article.

"It's nice that the guys met each other "under the roof" of our university. Today they have walked in their memorable places, captured everything on camera and thus left memories not only of the wedding day, but also of the university. It's great that this coincided with the beginning of the academic year and will be an excellent example for all young people. After all, SUSU is not only a place for studying, but also a place for creating new families," says Deputy Head of Extracurricular Activities Office, Director of the Centre for the Prevention of Antisocial Behaviour Kseniia Gernega.

Mikhail Ivin and Anastasiia Romanova tell us:

About getting to know each other

We met before the start of our studies, when we saw the lists of those who would study in the same group. We found each other on VKontakte and started chatting. When we were given our student IDs, we went to celebrate in the park near the university and got to know each other better. So our communication began online. At first we were just friends, but we started dating in our 3rd year of study.

"I realized that Misha had special feelings for me when he started bringing me chocolates every week," Anastasia shares.

About the university

SUSU is an exceptional place. Everything is interesting here, especially in the main building, where you feel as if you are home, it is very cosy.

Advice to students

First of all, don't be afraid. It's better to try and regret later [they say laughing]. Or you can try and not regret later − that's our case. Well, you can also bring chocolates and watch who's looking at you with hungry eyes.
