Within the frameworks of close collaboration between Russia and the People's Republic of China, a delegation from Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics has paid a visit to South Ural State University.
This visit by our colleagues from the partner university is aimed at continuing to strengthen the partnership links between the universities, as well as at learning about new projects that we could implement together.
"In the course of this meeting we have managed to outline our future projects, and the joint work with the Institute of Architecture and Construction. Our colleagues from China could see for themselves that SUSU is a hospitable university and that we are willing to expand our collaboration in terms of exchange of students for training, in addition to the project of joint South Ural College already being implemented at Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics," said Ludmila Lapina, Head of the International Office.
As part of the visit program, our guests attended the People and Technologies of the Urals University Museum, where they learned about the history of our region. The excursion was held by Andrey Epimakhov, archaeologist, Professor of the Department of Russian and International History, Doctor of Sciences (History), Associate Professor.
Next, the delegation headed towards the laboratories of the Institute of Architecture and Construction. They were taken on a tour to several laboratories dealing with various construction technologies. Our guests could see a unique climate chamber, test equipment, and the education and training units of our university.
This visit is very important since, following the initiative by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, the years of 2024 - 2025 were declared the China-Russia Years of Culture.

Our guests put a special focus on the work with students. An important part of the visit was the meeting with students from Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics currently obtaining their education at SUSU. They shared on what they have already managed to see both at the university and in Chelyabinsk. Their experience can motivate other young people, who are just considering studying in a foreign country.
