Hello, Student: First Applicants Enrolled in SUSU

South Ural State University has welcomed its guests! Today our university has invited yesterday’s applicants and their parents to a ceremony of signing the order for priority admission to Bachelor’s and Specialist degree programmes.

The ceremony brought together the most enthusiastic students, and after signing the order, all those willing were able to communicate directly and ask all their questions of concern to the directors of SUSU schools and institutes.

"The first stage of the admissions campaign has wrapped up, and the first students are enrolling. The period of obtaining higher education is among the most important ones in life. We will make every effort to ensure that children receive the highest quality education and become competitive in the labour market. I would like to wish you to graduate from our university not just with honours, but also with a great resume, so that companies will line up for such unique specialists," SUSU Rector Alexander Wagner addressed the guests.

The Head of the Department for Strategic Work with Applicants Iuliia Bolotina, noted that at the end of July the names became known of those got admitted under an employer-sponsored, special, separate quota and based on the results of the Russian Council of School Olympiads without entrance examinations.

Representatives of the following university’s partner companies also came to meet their future employees: Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant, Rosseti, Mechel, Ural Automobile Plant, Plastmass Plant, Zlatoust Machine-Building Plant, State Rocket Center named after Academician V.P. Makeev, Chelyabinsk Forging Press Plant. Students were able to talk with them and learn more about further joint studies.

"The Ural Automobile Plant, in addition to employer-sponsored places, accompanies students in practice and provides them with jobs after they receive their diplomas. We also have social support, food and accommodation are paid for. Contract students do not need to go looking for a job, they come to us and we know them already. They come to our family!" says Irina Kleptsova, specialist in the Training Department of the Ural Automobile Plant.

One of the future students who came to the ceremony was Maxim Cherkanov, who had chosen to enrol under an employer-sponsored quota in the Rocket and Missile Engineering major.

"I have been interested in this field for a long time and wanted to work as a design engineer. This is a promising direction at the current time. Import substitution is not enough, we need to create something of our own and develop in our country."

Please note that SUSU continues to accept documents for training on a contract basis. Our news cards will help you choose a specialty that is in demand at any time.
