Last week held a competition of projects among the students of the Architecture Department of the South Ural State University. The learners was making projects of single-storey residential house made of ceramic blocks with Furbau brick cladding.
Furbau is a group of brick factories of Ural and Siberia, which was created from two plants (Kopeysky Brick Plant LLC and Korkinsky Brick Plant LLC). The group also included several more brick factories.
In the competition took part sophomores and third-year learners, studying on the directions “Architecture” and “Design of Architectural Area”. Students worked vigorously, Vita Zimich, Associate Professor of the Department of Architecture, led the groups. It was presented 22 projects in total, 10 works reached the final, and the best ones got money prizes and diploma.

“I participated in the competition from the brick factory Furbau, - shares her impressions a prizewinner Ekaterina Kicheva. – Last week, the winners of a project competition among students of the SUSU Department of Architecture were announced. Students created projects for a one-story residential building with an area of 100–130 square meters from a ceramic block with Furbau brick cladding. No more than four people could take part in the group. Most participated in a team, I was alone. I made it to the top 10, my work was selected to the top 10. Weeks of sleepless nights, making all the edits... I took 2nd place, prize money 50,000 rubles! In addition, the most important thing for me – my project will be posted on the website of the Furbau brick factory, which will be offered to customers, it means that my project can be built by anyone who turns to this factory to build their home!
