An exhibition of brand-new equipment produced by German Company called IKA WERKE, one of the world’s leaders in the market of laboratory and analytical technologies, took place at South Ural State University. The event was organised in cooperation with Russian Joint Stock Company called Laboratory Equipment and Devices.
The exhibition was located in one of laboratories at the Faculty of Chemistry of SUSU’s Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Exhibited there were the latest samples of the German Company’s equipment that has been developed less than a year ago.
“IKA WERKE is one of the most well-known companies in the world that produces general-laboratory, hospital and analytical equipment. Presented at this exposition are the most recent products that have been displayed for the first time at ACHEMA international exhibition held in Frankfurt in 2018,” said chief sales officer of the IKA WERKE Company for the Russian Federation and the CIS countries, Bojidar Nikitch. “We are glad to have a chance to show them at South Ural State University, because our Company aspires for cooperation with leading higher education institutions of Russia. It is important for future specialists to be able to work with brand-new devices; contemporary students are initiative and are able to generate interesting ideas; with the use of such equipment, they will be able to bring their ideas to logical solutions at a maximum speed.”
Student chemists, research and academic staff and research fellows of SUSU’s Nanotechnology Research and Education Centre had a chance to see new laboratory reactors, viscosity gages, homogenizers, magnetic mixers and stirring shafts, as well as grinding mills for solid substances, thermostats and a calorimeter.
“Similar equipment is being used at our university as well at practically every-day basis for various purposes, including the education process. Our students use various mixers, rotary evaporator and thermostats for working with organic and inorganic substances. Therefore, it is interesting for us to see the brand-new facilities for chemical research that are produced by various manufacturers. Here I see many interesting things,” noted Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, Head of SUSU’s Nanotechnology REC, Vyacheslav Avdin.
