On the occasion of 70th Anniversary of South Ural State University the professors of Faculty of Journalism issued their collective scientific monograph “Media text as objective element of journalistic education in the conditions of mass media convergence”.
The collective monograph is devoted to the analysis of modern tendencies of media text transformation in the convergence process: theoretic grounds of media text hypertextuality, intertextual elements, processes of terminologisation and determinologisation of vocabulary in Internet-text and peculiarities of polycode media text as the product of convergent journalism.
The leading professors of Faculty of Journalism took part in the monograph preparation. They represented the current issues of interdisciplinary method of convergent media text treatment: psychological types of the text, advertising and PR-text, multimedia article in the modern information space.
A special attention was paid to the formation process of professional skills in creating the convergent media text in the educational process of students. The media text of students’ corporate publication is considered from the perspectives of language standards and as the phenomenon of Stylistics and Literary Editing course; television report and radio materials prepared by students are analyzed as the basis of convergent media text in the course of journalism education.
The innovative way of SUSU Faculty of Journalism professors to the journalism education problems creates a serious basis for obtaining the significant results in the system of modern media specialist training.
