“Heart of the Urals” Advanced Engineering School at the “Metalworking. Welding. The Urals” International Exhibition

As part of the “Metalworking. Welding. The Urals” International Exhibition, a roundtable discussion, organized by the Chelyabinsk branch of the Russian Engineering Union, was held. Representatives of the “Heart of the Urals Advanced Engineering School also attended the event. Participants discussed methods for improving labour productivity at industrial enterprises of the mechanical engineering industry.

Deputy Director for Organization of Educational Activities of the Heart of the Urals Advanced Engineering School Aleksandr Popov spoke about improving labour productivity at enterprises in terms of the processes of developing and testing new products through the introduction of digital methods of reengineering, design and research.

Application of digital technologies helps significantly reduce the time and resources used at the stage of developing and implementing new types of equipment. Thanks to the use of digital modelling, simulations and computer-aided design systems, we can minimize the likelihood of errors, as well as reduce the potential costs of eliminating them. This not only speeds up the process of putting into production, but also improves the quality of the final product, making it more competitive in the market,” shared Aleksandr Popov.

The “Advanced Engineering Schools” federal project is being implemented within the frameworks of the “Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation” state program of the Russian Federation.
