SUSU employees are going on a humanitarian mission to new regions of Russia. This time, our entire city has joined in collecting the necessary things on behalf of our university.
The trip will include a mandatory visit to the city of Yasinovataya, which is a sponsored city of the Chelyabinsk Region. Various food packages and personal hygiene items, bedding and underwear sets will be transferred to temporary accommodation points − all this is what people need first and foremost. Then there will be a tour to all new territories, transfer of aid to our servicemen from the Chelyabinsk Region and communication with them.
"This is the largest humanitarian aid that we will personally send and accompany. The trip will cover all new regions: Zaporizhia Region, Kherson Region, DPR and LPR. We will also visit Belgorod Region and Kursk Region. We will deliver all aid directly to the soldiers," said Viktor Froidenberger, Head of the Extracurricular and Discipline Activities Office.
South Ural State University has acted as a collection point for humanitarian aid. And there was so much of it that it took several hours to load it!
"Our traditional partner is the United Russia (Edinaia Rossia) party, with which we cooperate on a permanent basis. Previously, we sent everything through them, but now we ourselves have taken the initiative, and they have joined in. The Tsentralny District Administration has been very helpful. Local government bodies and residents of different districts have also joined in. Business representatives and politicians have joined in. For example, Vladimir Gornov, Deputy Chairman of the City Duma, has helped financially," Viktor noted.
The initiative of our university was well received by South Ural State Medical University, Chelyabinsk State University, the Youth Chamber, Federal Property Management Agency for the Chelyabinsk Region, Territorial Department of Education for the Central District, and kindergartens.
The bulk of the humanitarian aid was formed in the Krasnoarmeysky District. One of its deputies, Vladimir Patrushev, will even take part in the trip. Two UAZ vehicles will be transported for the needs of the participants in the special military operation.
It should be noted that some concerned citizens asked to pass on something specific to their relatives and friends who are in the special military operation zone now.
