On March 12th in Moscow, the SUSU team presented an updated university development program within the frameworks of the Priority 2030 program with a planning horizon until 2036.
March 10th through 15th, the results of the work and development plans of Russian universities are being reviewed in Moscow within the frameworks of the Priority program. 142 universities, including Priority participants, as well as candidates for participation, creative universities and universities of the Far Eastern track, are presenting their programs with a planning horizon up to 2036.
This year, the Priority program has been updated: the program structure and decision-making system have been changed. The collegial bodies of the Priority program are considering updated university development programs.
The program defence team included SUSU Rector Alexander Wagner, First Vice-Rector – Vice-Rector for Research Anton Korzhov, representatives of the university’s industrial partners – Chief Designer of the Strategic Project “Intelligent Manufacturing”, Dean of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Robotics, General Director of OOO “Robot Plant” (PAO “ChKPZ”) Aleksandr Gorkusha and Chief Designer, Head of the Engineering Centre, Technical Director of AO PG “KONAR” Evgeny Bodrov, as well as the head of the mega-grant, Head of the “IR Metrology Based on Quantum Interferometry” Laboratory Anna Paterova.
The SUSU team presented a comprehensive development program, including an analysis of the results of the previous period, the university strategy, the main characteristics of its target model, and a section on the work of the digital department.
According to the updated strategic goal, SUSU strives to achieve global scientific and technological leadership in the areas of intelligent manufacturing, special transport engineering and industrial ecology, including advanced materials, the implementation and introduction of developments in the industry of the Big Urals and the replication of successful experience to ensure sustainable development of the economy and society of Russia.
Our university is included in the pool of the main part of the program participants. The development programs of these universities are aimed, first of all, at ensuring the technological leadership of our country. The SUSU development program was heard by the Council chaired by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov.
The Council includes representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences, public organizations and leading industrial companies. It will make decisions regarding the future of all universities participating in Priority 2030.
Based on the results of the defence, all of these universities will be divided into groups with different funding.
