On the occasion of March 8th, an eventful festive performance, the main idea of which was kind songs on a military theme and love, was held at South Ural State University.
Traditionally, on the eve of the International Women’s Day, SUSU Recreation Centre presents an unusual creative project. This year, the concert is dedicated to love in times of war.
“The topic of the concert is so touching, heartwarming and important that, it seems to me, none of the performers even thought about refusing to take part in it. I immediately agreed to participate, especially when I was offered to sing the song Blue Handkerchief. For me, this is a very touching song. This is a wonderful experience and a sea of emotions, tenderness, love and joy,” shared SUSU Vice-Rector for Education Marina Potapova.
The festive program was organised on the basis of historical memories of the first students of the Chelyabinsk Mechanical Engineering Institute, many of whom could have ended up at the front. Through songs that everyone knows, the audience immersed themselves in the atmosphere of that time, feeling the connection between generations.
“Of course, I do not have musical education, but my mother is a music teacher, so I have certain background. When you sing such important songs, and the audience stands up, you yourself cannot contain your emotions. Today I've been lucky enough to congratulate many ladies of our university. Ladies of our university are the best, they are the ones who create a magical and wonderful atmosphere in our team,” noted SUSU Director of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service Vadim Erlikh.
A special feature of the concert was that not only creative students, but also the university staff members, including teachers, directors of institutes and vice-rectors performed on stage.
