SUSU Students Proposed Their Ideas of University Development

On December 24th a meeting was held on discussing proposals from the student community as part of the formation of the development strategy of South Ural State University regarding training of engineering personnel and conducting scientific research aimed at ensuring technological leadership.

The discussion issues included the following proposals from students: further development of digitalization of the educational process and interaction of students with the university teaching staff through a special university messenger, the possibility of introducing artificial intelligence into the educational process, organizing postgraduate support for university graduates, further improving the university infrastructure, developing interdisciplinary project teams with the participation of representatives of industrial partners, government agencies and non-profit organizations, and strengthening international cooperation with new partner universities.

Alina Rozikova, 1st-year student of the Institute of Linguistics and International Communications: “Not every day we get to discuss plans for 15 years ahead, and it’s very nice to know that our wishes and requests have been heard. It was useful to hear different points of view on these issues and prepare specific proposals.”

Nikita Okhrimenko, 3rd-year student of the Institute of Engineering and Technology: “This meeting is a really important step towards the development of our university, when students are not only listened to, but also heard. They can influence the formation of the environment in which they study, and this is really important. I believe that such interaction will make our university even better.”
