Students mastering the State and Municipal Administration programme at the Department of Economic Theory, Regional Economics, and State and Municipal Management of the SUSU School of Economics and Management have participated in public hearings on draft decisions of the Chelyabinsk City Duma.
Every year, students of the State and Municipal Administration programme of the SUSU School of Economics and Management take part in public hearings on the budget and reporting on its implementation, which has become an integral part in the professional development of future managers. However, this year, students of groups ЭУ-459 and ЭУ-338 have received personal invitations from the Chairman of the Chelyabinsk City Duma Sergey Buyanov with an offer to attend public hearings “On Amending the Charter of the City of Chelyabinsk”, which, within the frameworks of a practice-oriented approach to training, contributed to the opportunity of full immersion in the atmosphere of making management decisions at the municipal level.
As it was noted by the mentor of group ЭУ-338, senior lecturer of the Department of Economic Theory, Regional Economics, and State and Municipal Management Sergey Merkulov, the first part of the hearings was devoted to matters of changing municipal legislation, which is especially important for students in the course of mastering the discipline of Municipal Management.
