“The Path to Interethnic Unity”: Events Dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation Held at SUSU

The opening of “The Path to Interethnic Unity” interactive exhibition and a lecture on the topic of friendship of peoples was held at South Ural State University on the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation on December 12th.

The exhibition was organised in a format of a labyrinth of stands, where the images generated by the neural network reflect values that unite the whole multinational people of our country.

“We pay special attention to spiritual and patriotic education of young people as the basis of our future. It is important to keep up with the current trend and new technologies, so we decided to use neural networks in creating this exhibition. We can see how artificial intelligence is capable of understanding traditions and values of the residents of Russia,” said Advisor to the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, Head of the Office of the Anti-Terrorism Commission of the Chelyabinsk Region Oleg Semkin.

The exhibition is organized with the participation of the Head Department of Youth Policy of the Chelyabinsk Region, Research Centre for Monitoring and Prevention of Destructive Manifestations in Educational Environment, and the Office of the Anti-Terrorism Commission of the Chelyabinsk Region. The exhibition will be open to students and SUSU administrative and academic staff in the lobby of the 2nd floor of the 2nd academic building until February 1, 2025.

“It is very symbolic that we are holding these events on the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation. This document is not only the fundamental law of our state, but also plays a key role in its development as a strategic and ideological guideline. Almost all values that are presented at the exhibition are reflected in the text of the Constitution,” noted SUSU Vice-Rector for Student and Social Affairs Anton Manuylov.

After the opening of the exhibition, a conversation with students on the topic of friendship between peoples, aimed at respectable relationships between nations, took place.

“We have talked about the fundamental topics of the Constitution. Including the fact that we are a multinational people. There are a huge number of people of different nationalities living in Russia, but nevertheless, they are all part of the Russian Federation. This diversity is what makes our country unique!” said Aleksandr Selyutin, lecturer of the meeting.

Student Georgiy Kudryavtsev attended both events. In his opinion, patriotic education for students is very important in our time:

“We should organize more such meetings not only among young people, but also among the older generation. By attending them, we can learn something new, remember important dates in the history of our country that we may have forgotten.”

The university events were organized by the SUSU Extracurricular Activities Department.
