New Educational Prospects: SUSU and Centre for Biometric Technologies Sign Cooperation Agreement

On December 5th, the Rector of South Ural State University Alexander Wagner and CEO of AO Centre for Biometric Technologies Vladislav Povolotsky signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing educational and scientific projects in the field of biometrics and information technology.

The document envisages joint work in a key area – training young specialists in biometric systems and information security.

"Biometric data has become an integral part of our lives, and today every person actively uses these technologies, because their application is very extensive. However, first of all, their main goal is to ensure the safety of each of us. I think such cooperation will help our research teams to be on the current agenda and, most importantly, to develop educational programmes for our students in order to open new doors and opportunities for their further employment," said SUSU Rector Alexander Wagner.

The cooperation also includes the organization of practices, internships, joint research, competitive events from the enterprise at the university, as well as open lectures by the company's employees. All this will contribute to the development of human resources in this area.

"Our main goal is to inform young people who will soon work in government and commercial organizations about biometric technologies. We strive to show that these technologies are safe and an integral part of our daily lives. Under this agreement, we plan to develop a training programme dedicated to the regulatory aspects of biometrics. At the moment, we cooperate with more than 40 universities across our country, and signing an agreement with South Ural State University has become a particularly important step for us to be able to train young specialists," said Vladislav Povolotsky, CEO of AO Centre for Biometric Technologies.

The signing of the agreement is an important step in strengthening ties between science, education and industry, which will further form the basis for achievements in the field of biometric technologies in our country.
