For the third year in a row, inSmart Group of Companies takes part in the SUSU Accelerator as an industrial partner. This year, as part of the event they not only offer help as mentors and sponsors, but have also nominated a student with an educational-and-practical project to represent the inSmart Laboratory of the Internet of Things.
This project aims at developing the technology of quick production of auxiliary fittings for process equipment covering various sectors of industry: from microelectronics to additive technologies. It all began when we accepted a group of talented students for internship. One of them successfully developed this technology and created a prototype at our laboratory.
A joint decision was made that as part of the Accelerator this project could also be refined with consideration to economics and marketing. And it happened just like that: other participants of the acceleration program (with education in marketing, promotion, economics and finance) joined the project.
Therefore, this is already not a mere student “laboratory-training” project that has technical limitations. It is a comprehensive project with an ambition of becoming a startup idea. We are happy that such educational collaborations are possible today. They help students get a more integrated idea of their sector-related tasks and see their place in the general economy of our region and our country.
The SUSU Accelerator is organized as part of the support for project teams and student initiatives for the formation of innovative products, with the assistance from the Autonomous Non-profit Organization “Platform of the National Technological Initiative” and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
