On the occasion of the Psychologist Day professional holiday, students of the SUSU School of Medical Biology organised a spectacular concert and matriculation ceremony for freshmen on November 20th.
The professional holiday of specialists who "heal the soul" is celebrated annually on November 22nd. It has become a tradition at SUSU. The first department of psychologists was opened at Chelyabinsk Polytechnic Institute (now SUSU) in 1990.
Today, the School of Medical Biology of South Ural State University includes such departments as General Psychology, Psychodiagnostics, and Counselling, Clinical Psychology and Department of Psychology of Management and Law Enforcement Activities, as well as several scientific laboratories and research and educational centres where classes for students are held and scientific research is conducted.
“I would like to congratulate all of us on the upcoming professional holiday, Psychologist Day. We have chosen a wonderful profession, which is needed, important, noble, but at the same time very difficult. I wish students to acquire all the competencies that will allow them to become professionals in their field,” congratulated students and teaching staff the Head of the Department of Psychology of Management and Law Enforcement Activities Elena Rylskaya.
As part of the concert, first-year students presented creative numbers and videos about their groups. They were supported by senior students, who shared very important advice on studying.
“Thank you very much for the wonderful concert, you did great. I am very glad that such creative and versatile students come to study here,” noted Deputy Director for Discipline Activities of the School of Medical Biology Natalia Popova.
