This holiday is celebrated on the birthday of a great Russian scientist and founder of the Moscow University, Mikhail Lomonosov, whose name is associated with outstanding scientific achievements.

The academic and teaching staff members of South Ural State University redound to the best traditions of higher education. You help young people find their way in the fascinating world of science and you pay much attention to fostering of a personality and cultivating moral and spiritual values. Thanks to your multi-aspect activities, students acquire deep knowledge and skills and become high-end specialists, while those, who chose science as their future, are aimed at making breakthrough discoveries. 

Dear friends, I would like to express my profound gratitude for your devotion to your profession, for your tireless striving to improve the quality of education, for your enthusiasm, hard work, wisdom and commitment! And of course, my special thanks go to you for creating a comfortable and almost family-like atmosphere at our university. It encourages the scientific inquiry in students and helps them uncover their creative potential.
