This year, Rossotrudnichestvo Agency and South Ural State University start the implementation of a big program on advanced training for Chinese teachers of the Russian language. Training under this program will be available free of charge for 400 teachers of the Russian Language from organizations of pre-school, secondary, higher and continuing education in China. The workload in this advanced training program will equal 72 hours, and those who complete it will be awarded duly issued certificates of advanced training in the program on the “Modern Methods of Designing of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language”.
Trough this course, teachers in China will learn how to use modern information technologies (chat bots, online dictionaries, interactive educational programs, etc.) for language teaching. In addition, practical training, round tables, and master classes are planned to be held.
Classes will be held in Russian in a mixed format, including online meetings. Also, two-day classes with in-person attendance will be organized at four venues in Beijing, Harbin, Xi'an and Dalian.

Using this as a communication platform, we continue to develop the social and humanities collaboration in the fields of education, culture, science and technologies, and facilitate the welfare of both our countries,” notes Vadim Zaichikov, Head of the Department for Education and Science at Rossotrudnichestvo Agency. “Such events help us boost the dialogue regarding the issues of interaction between professional Russian-language specialists, discuss all aspects in the priorities of development of information technologies in the system of staff training in the context of modern requirements to the quality of specialists’ education, as well as strengthen the importance of scientific research. This forum will undoubtedly facilitate the development of new methods in education, the broad cultural interaction and cooperation between China and Russia, and will make a significant contribution to the comprehension of the practices of collaboration between countries and peoples in the era of digitalization.”
As a final stage of this work, a Science-to-Practice Conference on the “Innovative Methods of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language in China” will be held in Beijing in November of 2024.
