Opening ceremony for the Employers Assembly was held at South Ural State University on October16th. This is an annual big-scale project on development of interaction between the university and leading enterprises of our region and Russia.
The SUSU Employers Assembly is a unique event that is organised at the university in a "school-university-enterprise" format for the 9th time. This year, representatives of 60 employers from all over the country will meet the participants.
“Dear friends, on behalf of the Minister, I greet everyone at South Ural State University. I wish students to approach the choice of their future place of work very carefully and responsibly. The organizations represented at the Assembly today offer you the most favourable conditions for your future professional development,” addressed the participants First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Chelyabinsk Region Olga Statirova.
In the Large Exhibition Hall of the SUSU main university building, representatives of major organizations of the South Ural region and Russia told students about the possibilities of internships and educational, industrial and pre-graduation practical trainings at their enterprises, as well as about the benefits of employment.
“The main goal of our event: for students, to be able to choose the enterprise where they will be interested in building their professional career, for school pupils and college students ‑ to choose a field of study based on the needs of enterprises in our region, and for employers ‑ to find out what their new staff members will be like,” noted Head of the Department for Strategic Work with SUSU Applicants Yulia Bolotina.
The Employers Assembly is held at South Ural State University jointly with the Chelyabinsk Regional Branch of the Russian Engineering Union, which includes more than 40 industrial enterprises. Such interaction helps to effectively solve the personnel problem, engaging students into choosing to study in engineering specialities.
“Since we are an industrial association, and the industry is currently in dire need of professional staff members, SUSU, for us, is a forge of personnel for enterprises that are looking for their future specialists at the Assembly today,” said Head of the Chelyabinsk Regional Branch of the Russian Engineering Union Sergey Kashigin.
During the first day of work of the Employers Assembly, school pupils and students could ask potential employers all the questions of interest and get a chance for further employment or taking internship at an enterprise.
“We are working with more than 50 enterprises in the areas of treasury, accounting and personnel management. Accordingly, we are waiting for new employees who plan to connect their professional life with these areas of activity. Such events are very important, as they help provide students with information about potential employers, and we, in turn, identify the needs of future applicants, what is necessary and important to them,” shared leading specialist in personnel training and development at OOO MECHEL-BUSINESSSERVIS Valentina Shlyakhtina.
The Employers Assembly will be held on the first floor in the Vyatkinskiy Hall and in the hall of the third floor at the SUSU main university building October 16th through October 17th. As part of the event, master classes from teaching staff of the schools and institutes of South Ural State University are planned to be offered for graduates of schools and vocational schools of Chelyabinsk.
