As part of strengthening ties between the leading industrial enterprises of our region and South Ural State University, a delegation of the Heart of the Urals Advanced Engineering School of Engine Building and Special Equipment, led by Director Sergei Taran, paid a working visit to Ural Automobile Plant in Miass.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation in training highly qualified engineering personnel and launching joint educational programs.
The launch of new joint educational programs within the framework of the Advanced Engineering School meets the current needs of the automotive industry for highly qualified personnel capable of solving complex engineering problems and working with advanced technologies. Today, businesses need professionals with deep knowledge and skills in digital technology, design, simulation and production management.
"SUSU is proud of its close ties with leading industrial enterprises of the Ural region," noted Sergei Taran. "We highly value our many years of fruitful cooperation with the Ural Plant and are pleased to have the opportunity to deepen our partnership through interaction within the framework of the Advanced Engineering School."
As a result of the visit, the parties agreed on the launch of programs for training engineers in the priority areas of the plant, on practical training for students at the enterprise, as well as on regular interaction with leading engineers of Ural Automobile Plant to train students of the Heart of the Urals Advanced Engineering School.
In 2024, the Heart of the Urals Advanced Engineering School of Engine Building and Special Equipment offers Master's degree programes in the following specialties: "Engines for Sustainable Development", "Robotics and Mechatronic Systems" and "Digital Twins in Engine Building and Transport Engineering".
In March, SUSU and Ural Automobile Plant (Miass) signed an agreement to open a joint laboratory on the Chelyabinsk interuniversity campus, where the development of innovative solutions in mechanical engineering will be carried out.
The Advanced Engineering Schools federal project is being implemented within the framework of the state program of the Russian Federation "Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation".
