The selection round in the “Architecture, Design, Construction and Housing and Communal Services” category has been held online for the first time at SUSU as part of the 12th season of the CASE-IN International Engineering Championship. In 2024, the championship is devoted to Lean Manufacturing.
METROPOLIS company has become the strategic partner of the “Architecture, Design, Construction and Housing and Communal Services” category. The company’s main specialization is the general design of civil engineering projects, including those in partnership with the best Russian and international architectural bureaus.
Five teams of students majoring in architecture, building structures, technologies of construction production, water supply and disposal, heat supply and ventilation, participated in the event.
The students solved an engineering case: a practical problem based on a current industry situation. Real descriptions and indicators represented the source data of the case.
The participants had to develop a standard project for a multifunctional complex, ensuring the possibility of locating the facility in various cities and regions. The project had to be completed in an information modelling environment. The use of artificial intelligence during design with a description of the method of application was welcomed.
