The final of the Association of Student Basketball (ASB) Championship in the Tankograd division took place in Chelyabinsk on February 25th. A team from South Ural State University took part in the competition.
ASB is the largest student sports league in Russia and Europe in terms of the number of teams, which annually holds more than 4000 matches in 69 regions of Russia with the participation of 800 men's and women's teams.
In the final of the ASB Championship in the Tankograd division, the SUSU team met with the team of Chelyabinsk State University (CSU). Based on the results of the competition, the SUSU team was announced a four-time winner of the ASB.
Veronika Zaitseva, a member of the SUSU team, made it to the top five of the tournament, and Valeriia Odoevtseva received the Tournament MVP award as the most valuable player of the competition.
