Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations, Political Science and Regional Studies of the SUSU Institute of Linguistics and International Communications Maksim Gutenev took part in the 6th Chempalov Readings International Scientific Conference on the Problems, Challenges and Prospects for Global and Regional Development, which was held at Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin.
The conference marked the 110th anniversary of birth of the founder of the Ural School of International Relations, Professor Ivan Chempalov, and the 30th anniversary of the Department of Theory and History of International Relations of Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin.
Together with his colleagues from St Petersburg University, Maksim Gutenev participated in organization and work of The Arctic in the System of International Relations and Scientific Diplomacy section, and also presented a report on the contribution of Russian universities to the development of the Arctic scientific diplomacy.
Experts unanimously agreed that in the modern world scientific diplomacy can have a positive effect on various aspects of the development of the Russian Arctic.
