Philologists of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities Spoke at a Conference at Anadolu University

On May 6th−7th, teachers and students of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities  took part in the 2nd International Scientific Conference "Russian Language, Literature, Culture: From the Past to the Present", dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Fyodor Dostoyevsky. The event was organized by the Faculty of Humanities at Anadolu University − the largest university in Turkey. The conference was held online.

The results of scientific research were presented by doctoral students, postgraduates, Master and Bachelor's degree students from Turkey, Russia, Georgia, Hungary, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. According to the Head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature at Anadolu University, Professor Makbule Sabzieva, the key task of the conference was to organize a lively dialogue between young scientists from different countries. The multicultural and multilingual dialogue presented different views on Russian classical literature and modern literary processes, on topical issues of the development of the modern Russian language, on certain problematic aspects of the methodology of studying Russian philology by international students.

Teachers of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities acted as leaders of the break-out sessions at the invitation of the conference organizers. And Bachelor's degree students of the department got an excellent opportunity to test the results of their graduation qualification studies on an international platform.
