Become an Expert in Analytics and Informatization
The department provides a three-level education system. Students can obtain a Bachelor's degree in Informatics and Computer Engineering. Special attention during the process of training will be paid to the automated management of business processes and finances. Students will learn about the development of management systems in organizational, economic and social spheres, the organization of activities to improve business processes at an enterprise, and the development and operation of information and telecommunication networks of various purposes.
The Master’s degree programme in Informatics and Computer Engineering allows to expand the knowledge in information and analytical support of industrial, corporate, state and municipal management, organization and development of activities of companies of various forms of incorporation, and building corporate information and analytical systems.
Postgraduates can choose from two programmes, either Informatics and Computer Engineering, or Management in Social and Economic Systems. Graduates will be able to deeply understand the development and application of the methods of management theory when solving the problems of managing socio-economic systems. Also, graduates will be ready to perform scientific and pedagogical activities in schools and provide professional support for young specialists.
Studying at the department gives a chance to work as system, financial and business analysts, specialists or heads of IT departments, project managers, or development consultants.
The Department of Informational and Analytical Support of Control in Social and Economic Systems collaborates with major industrial enterprises of the Chelyabinsk Region. Moreover, jointly with specialists of the administration of Chelyabinsk, the regional Ministry of Information Technologies, Communications and Digital Development, students and academics of the department participate in the implementation of the “Chelyabinsk, a Smart City” projects on digitalization of the urban economy.
To become a student of the Department of Informational and Analytical Support of Control in Social and Economic Systems, you must pass the Unified State Examination in profile Mathematics, Russian Language, and Computer Science. You can enrol in the Master’s or postgraduate programme based on the results of the admissions test and an interview.
