QS University Rankings international ranking agency has published the results of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021.
This year, for the first time South Ural State University got included in the QS Engineering and Technology ranking by subject, in which it took positions 501-520 among world universities that provide training for specialists in the field of electronics, electrical engineering, computer sciences, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and mining industry.
The level of university achievements in the QS WUR by Subject for the world's best universities is estimated based on the results of a statistical analysis of their activities, as well as the results of an annual global expert survey among representatives of the international academic community and employers. Just like the general world ranking, the ranking by subject evaluates universities upon such criteria as the level of teaching, the quality of research activities, the volume of citation of research papers, and the university's involvement in innovation processes and global research. At the same time, these criteria differ from the criteria of the general world ranking and include the specific features of certain scientific field.
