A traditional student philharmonic is opening at South Ural State University. A concert will be held on September 30 in front of the SUSU main building with the participation of the Ural Wind Orchestra headed by Honoured Artist of Russia Igor Ezhov, and soloists of Chelyabinsk Philharmonic Rustam Zaichenko and Svyatoslav Khazov.
For several decades, the Student Philharmonic has been familiarizing students and teachers with high art. Its concerts and programs allow students to get acquainted with different genres of classical and contemporary music, to learn about the best composers and performers of the past and present.
This time, the Ural Wind Orchestra will perform in front of the main SUSU academic building under the guidance of Honoured Artist of Russia Igor Ezhov with the participation of soloists from the Chelyabinsk Philharmonic—Rustam Zaichenko and Svyatoslav Khazov.
The wind orchestra was founded in 2011 on the basis of the military brass band of the Chelyabinsk Higher Military Automobile School. The orchestra's leader Igor Ezhov is a graduate of the Military Conducting Faculty of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.
"He can subtly feel all the nuances of military music and is the composer of several marches and marching songs", said Director of the SUSU Recreation Centre Svetlana Filipchuk.
The ensemble performs pieces by Russian and foreign composers, as well as the best pieces of classical and contemporary music. A significant portion of the repertoire consists of works by Chelyabinsk composers: E. Gudkov, M. Smirnov, N. Malygin, V. Ocherov, V. Yarushin, O. Kuldyaeva.
"This helps him satisfy the tastes of the most demanding audience and demonstrates the artistic culture, brightness, and colourful sound. The richness of tone and dynamic palette allows the ensemble to approach works of different styles and genres: from folklore and pop music to symphonic classics and avant-garde," added Svetlana.
The concert will take place in front of the main SUSU academic building (76 Lenin Prospekt) on September 30 at 13:00.
Everyone is invited!
