The Dance Festival of Student Teams will be held at SUSU for the 13th time. Students will perform in the categories of contemporary, street and pop dance and will compete for the winning places.
The event is to take place before the Russian Student Union Day celebration. The students will dance on the university’s stage on February 16th. This year, the main topic of the event is “Russian Student Union BOOM: Style. Labour. Hype”. The participants want to show the audience that it is both interesting, fun and fancy to be a part of the Russian Student Union.
The winners will be awarded certificates and prizes. All the participants are to receive certificates. A special award for the teams will be the Audience Choice Award.
The organizers are sure that the festival will raise the dancing, cultural and artistic level of participants, strengthen relationships among the team members from different cities, as well as popularize the student union movement among the youth.
Last year, the main topic of the event was the phrase “Our Union Is Our Whole Life...”: the team members expressed the theme of student union influencing their lives in their dances. About 16 teams, in the categories of contemporary dance, street dance and dance show, participated in the festival.
The event is to be held by South Ural State University, Chelyabinsk Regional Division of the Russian Student Teams All-Russian Public Youth Organisation and SUSU Headquarters of Student Labour Unions.
