The level of university achievements in the Times Higher Education Rankings by subject is estimated based on the results of the statistical activity analysis, as well as the results of the annual global expert survey of international academic community and employers representatives. Like the general world rankings, the rankings by subject rate universities by 13 indicators, grouped into 5 categories: the level of teaching, the quality of research and the volume of citation in research, the university’s involvement in innovative processes and global research. At the same time, these criteria have different values comparing to the general world rankings criteria, considering the specifics of particular scientific fields.
