Forbes magazine presented the second rating of Russia’s best universities, in which South Ural State University has significantly climbed up.
The method of compiling the rating included assessment of education quality, analysis of statistical data regarding employment of alumni and them being in-demand in regions, as well as the number of entrepreneurs among them. Besides, attention was paid to bios of more than 1600 Russian participants of the Forbes list together with their children, executives of private and public companies, public officers and deputies.
In the new edition of the rating, South Ural State University climbed up 9 position if compared to the previous year’s result, having been placed the 81st in 2019. Moreover, SUSU became the only higher education institution of the Chelyabinsk region who got included in the rating. The strongest position of SUSU turned out to be the Forbes Factor which takes into account the elite status of an educational institution and the share of entrepreneurs in the total number of alumni (the 33rd place).
Overall, the Forbes rating includes 10 metrics, grouped together into three component parts: Quality of Education (50 points max), Quality of Alumni (30 points max), The Forbes Factor (20 points max). This rating has been compiled based on data of efficiency monitoring performed in more than 1000 higher education institutions and prepared by the Ministry of Education.
