March 19, Presentation of Master’s Degree Programmes of the School of Economics and Management took place at South Ural State University. University applicants and future graduates of Bachelor’s degree studies could learn about prospects of undertaking Master’s degree studies and the specificity of new educational programmes.
In 2019, SUSU’s School of Economics and Management (SEM) announced admissions for Master’s degree studies in 7 majors: Economics; Management; Applied Computer Science; Finance and Credit; Human Resource Management; State and Municipal management; and Business Informatics.
“Spheres of training within Master’s studies at SUSU SEM include 20 educational programmes, 3 of which are to be launched in 2019. New programmes are connected with digitalization: they are called ‘Business Analytics’, ‘Accounting, Analysis and Control in Corporate Digital Environment’, ‘Financial Justification of Engineering Solutions in Industry 4.0’, ‘SMART CITY Economy’ and ‘Strategic and Corporate Management under Conditions of Digital Economics’. It is important to note that there are state-funded places in practically all majors of the School, within both full-time and extramural modes of study,” says Deputy Director for Professional Orientation and University Applicants’ Affairs, Svetlana Gerasimova.
Four educational programmes are being taught in English. They are: “International Business” (“Economics”), “Strategic and Innovative Marketing” (within the major of Management), “Business Analytics” (the major of Business Informatics), and “Financial Markets and Institutes” (the major of Finance and Credit).
Master’s degree programme entitled “International Busines” is targeted at training of Masters in Economics, who carry out foreign economic activity at industrial enterprises as well as in trade and service companies. Graduates of the programme are specialists in the sphere of international investment and financing, as well as in business organisation on the national and foreign markets, and network business organisation.
Master’s degree programme entitled “Strategic and Innovative Marketing” performs training of specialists who carry out management over marketing in a company. Master’s degree students study issues connected with forecasting the market prospects of a product, development of new technologies for promotion of goods and services, acquire skills of brand management, and learn how to create and develop trademarks.
Another Master’s degree programme in English is entitled “Business Analytics”. This is a multidisciplinary programme targeted at acquiring profound knowledge in the sphere of data analysis, competencies of business analytics (data mining), machine learning, artificial intelligence, and development of forecast models for provision of business decision-making support.
Graduates of the programme entitled “Financial Markets and Institutes” possess universal knowledge in the sphere of global financial market environment, methods of fundamental and technical analysis, investment portfolio management, and financial engineering. As a response to demand for graduate Bachelors of engineering majors as well as for specialists who are already working at industrial enterprises, a new Master’s degree programme entitled “Financial Justification of Engineering Solutions in Industry 4.0” is to be launched.
As a reminder, Admissions campaign of 2019 starts on June 20. July 26th through August 16, the university’s Admissions Committee admits applications for full-time mode of study; applications for extramural mode of study can be submitted till September 26.
