On July 6th a ceremony of awarding diplomas was held at South Ural State University for 37 graduates of the Presidential Program on training management specialists in such fields as Strategic Management, and Project Management at an Enterprise.
Presidential Program for Top Managers
The Presidential Program on training management staff for the Russian Federation national economy organisations is being fulfilled in Russia since 1997 and is the biggest all-Russian state project. The Program’s strategic goal is facilitating the development of management for enhancement of competitiveness and efficiency of Russian enterprises in the context of the economy globalization. SUSU MBA Center welcomed the first enrollees under the Presidential Program in 2001. In the course of successful fulfillment of the program more than 900 managers of various levels from the Chelyabinsk and the Chelyabinsk Region administrations took training at SUSU.
Andrey Shmidt, SUSU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, stressed the importance of the Presidential Program in the context of the quickly changing economic situation:
“The very title of the program speaks for itself – this is the program on training management specialists. The program was initiated by the Presidential Administration, and the current fulfillment of this program complies with the tasks set forth by President Vladimir Putin before the government authorities and businesses aiming to be completed by 2020. Solving of the tasks for sustainable economic growth of the county and improvement of the population’s quality of life is directly related to training the management reserves. The program’s peculiarity is that its participants work in business and already have big experience. Here they obtain excellent economics and management education. The fact that the qualification papers were elaborated very seriously is proof of the program’s efficiency.”
Tatiana Yazovskikh, Deputy Head of the Governor’s Office and the Government of the Chelyabinsk Region – Head of the Civil Service Department of the Chelyabinsk Region Government, Deputy Chairperson of the Regional Committee for Organizing Training of Management Staff of the Russian Federation national economy organisations, employers congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of the Program:
“Over the 20 years of the program’s existence a new generation of people has emerged, with new knowledge and new understanding of reality. In this context the Presidential Program’s spirit, meaning and practice turned to be of demand. This program’s graduates are our elite and our staff reserve.”
Irna Dergaleva, Director of the MBA Center’s Business School at School of Economics and Management, stresses that participation in the program not only helps grow as a person, but also speeds up development of companies where the graduates work:
“SUSU is rightfully proud of the fact that a number of well-known businessmen, highly qualified state and municipal officers started their careers as enrollees of the Presidential Program. Meanwhile they also note that knowledge obtained while studying under the Presidential Program allowed them to create their own enterprises. Over the passed years more than 70 our graduates took internships at enterprises of Germany, Japan, China, Singapore, USA, and in other countries.”
