More than 100 students and postgraduate students participated in a contest for grants and scholarships offered by the company Coca-Cola HBC Russia and South Ural State University. The participants completed assignments in several rounds and developed business projects for popularizing one of the company’s products.
20 student teams took part in intellectual and sporting contests, solved business cases, and developed projects to popularize the company’s products. As a result of all the rounds, the first place went to the team which consisted of five female students. The students thought up and developed a Coca-Cola limited collection “For Him and for Her”. The winners earned scholarships of 15,000 to 40,000 rubles.
“This is not our first year to participate, but this is the first time we won. The contests also really motivate for future self development, and it’s possible that we will take part in one of the company’s other projects ‑ a program for intern managers. It was really interesting for us to develop such business projects. Some members of the jury even said that our work can be fulfilled right away,” says member of the winning team Valeriya Shestakova.
An agreement on partnership between the university and the company Coca-Cola HBC Russia was first signed on January 25, 2007. Over these 11 years, 165 of the best students and postgrads from SUSU earned scholarships and grants from Coca-Cola HBC Russia, and 48 more people went to other countries for language training.
“This contest doesn’t just show the potential of the participants – the best students and postgrads from South Ural State University, but also gives them a chance to see real business cases and projects for promoting products. This is their future,” notes Marina Mokina, Regional Manager of the Office of Internal and External Communications for Coca-Cola HBC Russia in the Ural Region, Siberia and the Far East Region.
