Students from the Chelyabinsk Region Take Part in the Building of Nuclear Power Plant in Turkey and Bangladesh

The results of the selection process among members of Russian student brigades for the right to participate in international construction projects were announced. Based on these results, 20 people were chosen to participate in construction. The Chelyabinsk Region will be represented by two people, says the Ministry of Education.

The ex commander of the construction brigade Tankograd, the commander of the headquarters of student brigades at SUSU Semen Glushenko will travel to Bangladesh to the Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant and the former head of the construction brigade Strela and of the headquarters of the student brigades in Ozersk Kirill Degtyarev will work at the Akkuya Nuclear Plant in Turkey.

From July 1st through August 26th they will complete the following tasks at these international construction projects: preparing building documentation, participating in the receipt of equipment, supervising, and building-and-repair work.

“The interaction between student construction brigades and Rosatom State Corporation means successful creation of the future labor reserves for businesses of the atomic sector, support and development of our youth movement, and a chance for students to make a significant contribution to the construction of major facilities and earn their first professional experience,” notes Deputy Minister of Education and Science for the Chelyabinsk Region Vadim Bobrovsky.

At present, work is being completed on motivation of student construction brigades and international cooperation as part of an agreement on strategic partnership in the development of student brigades in the atomic sector between the all-Russian social youth organization “Russian Student Brigades” and Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation.
