The 2nd Eurasian Science and Technology Conference entitled “Interlinking of the Great Eurasian partnership and the ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative: strategies, programs, projects of agrifood partnership” was held from April 17th through 19th of 2018 in Saint Petersburg.
Within the Conference took place the Eurasian contest of agrifood strategies, programs and projects, organized by the Interindustry Union for Development of High-Tech Export and Import Substitution (MSVEI).
Participants of the Conference highly praised the results of the Eurasian contest of agrifood strategies, programs and projects, and recommended to Eurasian Development Bank, the Silk Road Fund, the Rosselkhozbank and other investors to provide possible support in attracting investments for implementation of the contest’s winning projects.
South Ural State University presented 3 of its projects at the contest; all of them were highly praised by the Contest Commission:
- “Development of specialized beverages on the basis of a polyphenolic complex of antioxidative activity, optimized by its biological availability” (supervised by Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Irina Yuryevna Potoroko): by the results of the contest, this project took the 1st place.
- “Development of new approaches in the technology of storing and disinfecting grains on the basis of influence of non-heat effects of cold plasma on the epiphytic microflora” (supervised by Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Irina Yuryevna Potoroko): by the results of the contest, this project took the 2nd place.
- “Creation of the Kartaly agro-logistics hub for export of regional agricultural products in the interlinking point of the Great Eurasian partnership and the ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative” (supervised by Candidate of Economic Sciences, Alena Borisovna Levina): by the results of the contest, this project took the 2nd place.
