The park will be arranged on a 50-hectares area of the territory between Moldavskaya, Zakharenko, Beivelya and Kharisa Yusupova Streets. The concept will be based on the project by the SUSU students, which was chosen by the jury within the frameworks of a contest. A 30-meter observation tower with spirally ascending stairs will be the main attraction of the eco-park. The project is planned to be fulfilled next year already.
“The main attraction is our observation tower, to which you can climb by overhead paths and take a look around the city and the park from the height of the tower. It has a low foundation, so that it occupies small area, and it expands by the top. We also have a roller-skis route, in winter it is used as ski run. In summer you can roller-skate and cycle here. Also, there is an ice-skating rink, but an unusual one, it is not shaped is a playground. To make a playground, you need to cut down trees, and we wanted to avoid that. Our ice-skating rink is organized as paths that weave around the trees, that is, it’s a sort of an ice-skating run. In summer it is used is a roller-skating run, and kids can skate there. Not far from the tower we have a lane of sculptures, which are made of wood and completely blend in with nature. We did not plan any capital facilities there, there are no catering sites on the park’s territory,” shares one of the concept’s authors Elena Sagadaeva.
Also, an elevated observation deck with suspension eco-paths leading to it will be constructed in the park.
