On November 16th the SUSU’s Center of Computer Engineering organized a training workshop on numerical modeling and computing the components of motor trucks’ driving axels for the design and manufacturing engineers of KAMAZ Group of Companies in Naberezhnye Chelny.
The workshop participants discussed the topical issues of the modern automobile manufacturing, studied the peculiarities of computer modeling of dynamic transient processes in trucks’ transmission lines, optimization of power drives of the KAMAZ driving axels by using KISSsoft/KISSsys software environment, as well as finite-element modeling of the bearing components of the driving axels by using ANSYS Mechanical software environment.
“In the course of the workshop we described the main developments of the Center of Computer Engineering to our industrial partner. The participants were especially interested in the specifics of the innovative method of computing in the field of automobile manufacturing by using KISSsoft/KISSsys software,” explains SUSU’s Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Research Manager of the Center of Computer Engineering Andrey Keller.
The workshop participants appreciated the significant speed-up and high accuracy of computing due to use of the innovative software. The method of calculating loads occurring in power drives caused a lively discussion.
The SUSU’s Center of Computer Engineering and KAMAZ Group of Companies have a history of long and successful cooperation under the project on creating high-technology manufacture of the new generation of energy-efficient transmission lines for motor trucks and buses.
“At this workshop, together with our colleagues we discussed the achieved results and outlined new prospects for our joint developments. Ahead of us we have many tasks to jointly solve, and many projects which we will definitely implement at the manufacture,” adds Andrey Vladimirovich.
