A design concept for a quick-charge device for electric vehicle named best by Renault and Nissan.
INNOPROM-2017 was marked by an important event for the SUSU Center of Computer Engineering – the design of a charging device for vehicles won an industrial design contest. The project by masters’ student of the Department of Design and Invention Roman Tkachev entitled “Device for quick-charge of electric vehicles with a power of 60 Kw” took first place in the nomination “Design of Environmental Equipment.”
The quick-charge device was evaluated highly by the experts. A first-place diploma was signed for Roman by the vice president of Renault, head of the office of design in Russia, Anthony Grade. It was awarded personally by the vice president of Nissan Motor Manufacturing LTD, Koji Nagano.
Engineering. The masters’ student completed the design and construction of the device using 3D systems under the guidance of the main constructor of the CCE Sergey Blagikh and associate professor of the Department of Design and Invention, Dmitriy Chernykh.
The development of the charging device for vehicles created in partnership with the KAMAZ constructors is an example of complex technical and design work on a project. The device has earned high marks at international forms for the third time already. Engineers of the CCE are sure that in the near future, charging devices will be located at gas stations in large cities.
According to research head of the SUSU Center of Computer Engineering, professor Andrey Keller,
“Participation in INNOPROM has allowed us to not only show our developments but also gain promising contacts. For example, we held talks with the top manager of Nissan Design Europe and, as a result, plan on signing a contract for partnership in the manufacture of charging devices for electric vehicles.”
