Today in the SUSU Activity Hall the drone of very different languages from around the world was heard, as the Institute of Linguistics and International Communication held their New Years.
Grandfather Christmas and his granddaughter, the Snow Maiden, invited participants to travel with them on an air liner all around the world with them. They stopped in French, Spain, Kazakhstan, and Sri Lanka, were they got to know the traditions for celebrating New Years and heard traditional songs. The travels finished up in Russia, and here students transformed into leaders of the biggest states and all danced together.
A real holiday atmosphere prevailed in the hall thanks to new year’s caps, tinsels, and, of course, the audience’s loud support for everyone who appeared on the stage.
