A program for continuing professional education, "Theory and Practice of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language" has begun at the Institute of Linguistics and International Communication.
Program participants, students and teachers Russia, Turkmenistan, and China, speak about growing interest in Russian language and the need for acquiring additional qualifications to teach Russian abroad. The program covers the methods of teaching Russian as a Foreign Language; phonetic, lexical and grammatical aspects of teaching; teaching the types of speech activities; and forms of testing in Teaching Russian as Foreign Language.
In the first semester participants will attend lessons in linguoculturology and intercultural communication (professor Y. V. Kharchenko), pedagogy (professor I.O. Kotlyarova), modern literary Russian (ass. prof. Ya.L. Berezovskaya, O.I. Sharafutdinova, O.C. Bernat). In the second semester pedagogical practice is planned with groups of international students from the Institute of Linguistics and International Communication.
The program is 350 academic hours. At the end, participants will receive a diploma of professional retraining.
